This privacy policy explains what information Bureau of Wealth ("we", "us") collects when you visit this website, how it is used and the choices you have. Information we collect

We do not require an account and we do not ask for personal information to read the site. We collect information in three ways:

Server logs and analytics. When you view a page we record the page address, the language edition you were reading, the country your connection appears to come from, the website that referred you and whether the visitor looked like an automated crawler. We do not store your IP address in these records.

Calculators. Our calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type and the results you see are never sent to us or to anyone else. When you first use a calculator on a page, your browser tells us only which calculator was used, so we can count how often each one is used. That signal carries no inputs, no results and no identifier for you.

Contact form. If you write to us we keep your name, email address and message so that we can reply. We also keep a one-way hash of your IP address to help block spam.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles are read and from where. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type. Google processes this data on our behalf. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to show advertisements. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Other third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads; you can opt out of some of them at www.aboutads.info.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before personalized advertising cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time from the link in the footer.

Cookies

We set a cookie that remembers which language edition you chose. Google Analytics and Google AdSense set their own cookies as described above. Our cookie policy lists them and explains how to block or delete cookies in your browser.

How we use information

We use the information above to run the site, understand what readers find useful, reply to messages, prevent abuse and, where advertising is enabled, to show and measure ads. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with anyone other than the service providers named in this policy.

Legal bases and retention

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for advertising and analytics cookies and on our legitimate interest in running and securing the site for server logs and contact messages. Raw pageview records are deleted after 90 days; aggregated daily statistics are kept without personal data. Contact messages are kept for up to two years.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion and to opt out of the sale of personal information. Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
